Zumba for kids classes are an exploration in movement for elementary age students. The originator of Zumba, Beto Perez, strives to have fitness become a part of children’s lives by making fitness fun. As a Zumba licensed instructor Ms D uses music that is upbeat, age appropriate and centered on having our students enjoy movement. The skills that we aim to develop are leadership, respect, confidence, self-esteem, coordination, creativity, and cultural awareness. The class will develop some kid friendly choreography developed from Zumba routines plus some skill building activities.
